Privacy Policy
Effective October 16, 2026
Bible Studio ("the app") is made by Belmont Labs ("we", "us"). This policy explains what information the app handles, why, and the choices you have. The short version: Bible Studio has no accounts, no advertising, no analytics and no tracking. The only information that leaves your device is the question you choose to ask, which is needed to generate an answer.
1. Information we do not collect
- We do not ask for your name, email address, phone number, or any account or password.
- We do not collect your location, contacts, photos, or any device identifiers.
- We do not use advertising, analytics or tracking software of any kind, and we do not sell or share personal data with advertisers.
- We do not track you across other apps or websites.
2. Information handled when you ask a question
When you type a question (or open a chapter study guide), the app sends the text of that question, together with your chosen Bible translation and answer-length setting, over an encrypted connection (HTTPS) to our server at biblestudioapp.com. Our server forwards the question to Anthropic's Claude API, an artificial-intelligence service, which generates the answer that is returned to your device.
- Our server does not store the text of your questions or answers. It keeps them in memory only for the seconds needed to produce the answer.
- If you ask a follow-up question, the app may send the previous question and answer from the same conversation along with it so the answer makes sense in context. This is sent from your device, and is likewise not stored by our server.
- Anthropic processes the question text in order to generate the answer. Anthropic's handling of that data is governed by its own privacy policy and commercial terms. No account information or device identifier is sent to Anthropic; we are the customer, and your question is not linked to you.
- Please do not include personal information about yourself or others in your questions. You do not need to in order to use the app.
3. Server logs
Like almost every internet service, our server records basic technical information about each request: the IP address it came from, the date and time, the endpoint requested and whether it succeeded. We use this only to keep the service running, to apply fair-use limits (so that one device cannot overwhelm the service), and to investigate abuse or security problems. These logs do not contain the text of your questions. They are kept for no more than 30 days and then deleted automatically.
4. Reports you choose to send
Every answer has a "Flag this answer" option. If you use it, the app sends us the question, the answer, the reason you selected and any note you typed, so that we can review the problem and improve the app. Reports are stored on our server, are not linked to any identity, and are deleted once reviewed or after 12 months, whichever is sooner.
5. Information stored on your device
The app keeps the following on your device only, in the app's private storage. None of it is sent to us:
- your recent questions and answers (study history) and anything you save;
- your settings, such as translation, answer length, motion and haptics preferences; and
- whether you have seen the welcome screen.
You can erase your history at any time from Settings → Clear History, turn history off entirely with Settings → Save History, or remove everything by deleting the app. If you use iCloud device backups, this on-device data may be included in your backup under Apple's terms.
6. Support email
If you contact us at support@towfiapp.com, we will receive your email address and whatever you write. We use it only to reply to you, and we keep the correspondence no longer than needed to resolve your request.
7. Children
Bible Studio is suitable for general audiences but is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Because the app has no accounts and does not request personal information, there is normally nothing to collect. If you believe a child has sent us personal information through the support email or a report, contact us and we will delete it.
8. Security
All communication between the app and our server is encrypted with HTTPS (TLS). Our API key for the AI service is held on our server, never inside the app. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect the small amount of data we handle.
9. Your rights
Because we hold no account or profile about you, there is nothing for us to export or correct. The data on your device is under your control (see section 5). If you are in a region with data-protection laws such as the GDPR or the California Consumer Privacy Act and believe we hold personal information about you (for example, a support email), you may ask us to access or delete it by writing to the address below, and we will respond within 30 days.
10. Third parties
The only third party that processes your question text is Anthropic, PBC (the provider of the Claude API), as described in section 2. Our server is hosted by DigitalOcean, LLC. Apple handles App Store downloads and updates under its own terms. We do not share data with anyone else.
11. Changes
If we change this policy, we will post the new version at this address and update the effective date above. Significant changes will also be noted in the app.
